Lennar Homes hired Lund to re-align 5,000 LF of existing Gerber Creek, which included 101,000cy of mass excavation. In addition, the Lund team implemented storm drain improvements and installed 2 precast Conspan Bridges for future subdivision access in order to begin building models in August of 2016. The timeline required 1 of the Conspan Bridges to be completed by mid-July, however due to a late winter season, early summer creek restrictions, and engineering design issues, the project had a delayed start. Despite the tight schedule, Lund’s company owned equipment, in house operators and ability to self-perform allowed us to overcome these challenges and respond accordingly. By re-sequencing the work we were able to get the bridge set to meet Lennar’s mid-July deadline for the first bridge, then set, backfill and move 101,000 cy of dirt from the creek for the second bridge before the October creek permits expired.
