During the winter of 2017, water exiting The Oroville Dam Spillway caused severe damage washing dirt, rock and debris into the Feather River. Lund was contacted to aid in the repair efforts at the early stages of the project under emergency conditions. From building haul roads and access roads, to excavation and removal of 750,000cy of debris, Lund was able to mobilize a significant amount of resources in a very short period of time to address the ever changing demand to help stabilize the ongoing emergency conditions. At the projects peak Lund was able to provide in excess of 40 personnel in the field and office to support a 24hr, 7 day/week schedule for 8 weeks. Lund was able to respond within 24hrs of the initial request to mobilize and support the ongoing operations. Through challenging conditions such as rain, mud, constant design changes, and multiple contractors with hundreds of pieces of heavy equipment on site, safety remained top of list and there were zero accidents for the Lund team during the duration of the job.
